Exhibition On Screen: ‘My National Gallery’

The Coliseum’s next showing from Exhibition On Screen is ‘My National Gallery’, in celebration of the National Gallery’s Bicentenary 200 years of bringing people and paintings together.
The National Gallery is full of famous artworks, an endless resource of history, an endless source of stories. But whose stories are told? Which art has the most impact and on whom? Telling the story of one of the world’s greatest art galleries in a new light. From the award-winning film company and unique arts brand Exhibition on Screen (Vermeer: The Greatest Exhibition, John Singer Sargent: Fashion & Swagger), MY NATIONAL GALLERY, LONDON gives voice to those whose lives have been the Gallery – beloved celebrities, devoted staff members, every day visitors and world class experts come together to paint a unique portrait of this iconic British institution for its 200th birthday.
Claudia Winkleman, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Jacqueline Wilson and HRH Princess Eugenie all let us into their deeply personal connection with the National Gallery. Each interviewee identifies the one artwork which means the most to them, with this diverse cross section of society making surprising choices of both well-known masterpieces and hidden gems.
